The opening of a new road and a bridge is to remarkably enhance the connectivity between the central areas of Doha and its southern region, including Wakra.
A maximum temperature of 46C is forecast on Saturday at Mesaieed, Wakra and Al Khor, followed by 45C in Doha, 37C at Dukhan and Abu Samra and 36C at Ruwais.
The mercury is expected to dip to 6 degrees Celsius in some parts of the country including Wakra and Mesaieed on Sunday, the met office has said.
