Qatar Stock Exchange on Sunday opened the week on a stronger note and its key index inched near the 11,200 mark, mainly lifted by banking and industrials segments.
The Qatar Stock Exchange on Wednesday gained 70 points to inch near the 11,200 mark on an across-the-board buying. The Qatar Index rose 0.63% to 11,186.14 points on increased trading turnover amidst declining volumes.
The Qatar Stock Exchange on Wednesday settled near the 11,000 mark, mainly supported by telecom and banking stocks. The 20-stock Qatar Index gain 78 points or 0.71% to 10,996.41 points.
The Qatari index climbed 0.6% to 10,649 points in a broad-based rise, with nine of the 10 most heavily traded stocks gaining. Trading volume fell from Monday's high level but remained active.
Qatar Stock Exchange on Wednesday retreated below 10,000 levels despite stronger buying interests in real estate and telecom stocks.
Domestic institutions turned net profit takers to drag the 20-stock Qatar Index down 1.52% to 9,486.71 points.
The Qatar Stock Exchange rallied for the fourth straight session to add another 67 points and inch near the 9,550 mark mainly on the back of buying support from foreign and domestic institutions.
