Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday his country's maritime blockade on the Gaza Strip would remain in place following a deal with Turkey to normalise relations.
Gaza fishermen have begun working further off the coast after Israel relaxed restrictions for the first time in a decade but said Monday that the measure was not nearly enough.
Israel on Sunday extended the distance it permits Gaza fishermen to head out to sea along certain parts of the coastline of the enclave, which is run by the Islamist group Hamas.
