Bangladesh police have arrested an Islamist militant charged with the murder of a professor amid a surge in deadly attacks against liberal activists and other minorities, a senior officer said.
Two people were hacked to death on Monday at an apartment in Dhaka, police said, with a local television channel identifying one of them as a leading gay rights activist.
