A Filipina held hostage by a notorious kidnapping-for-ransom gang in the strife-torn southern Philippines was released from captivity on Friday, police said, a week after her Canadian boyfriend was beheaded by the gunmen.
Filipina nurse Celeste Mamon Centino, 28, who was injured in a road traffic accident on April 21 near Dar Al Salam Mall in Abu Hamour, has been discharged from hospital.
