EgyptAir flight MS804 sent automated messages signalling smoke onboard before plunging into the Mediterranean, the French aviation safety agency said on Saturday, as search teams hunted for more wreckage.
French President Francois Hollande confirmed on Thursday that the EgyptAir flight that disappeared from radar screens over the Mediterranean had "crashed".
