President Barack Obama met survivors of a massacre at an Orlando gay nightclub and relatives of the 49 people killed and said the United States must act to control gun violence and fight homegrown terrorism.
FBI Director James Comey said there were "strong indications" Orlando nightclub attacker Omar Mateen had been radicalised in part through the internet but federal authorities still are working to determine his exact motives.
