Solar Impulse 2 on Tuesday completed its historic round-the-world journey, becoming the first airplane to circle the globe powered only by the sun to promote renewable energy.
The experimental Solar Impulse 2 plane landed in Spain on Thursday morning, an AFP correspondent said, after completing a 70-hour journey from New York powered only by sunlight.
