The Traffic Engineering and Safety Department at the General Directorate of Traffic is implementing a number of road projects in Doha, in co-ordination with the Public Works Authority (Ashghal), to enhance traffic flow.
A temporary closure will be in place on the Mohamed Bin Thani Street in both directions to and from the Civil Defence Intersection. It is being implemented in two phases.
Ashghal has completed the roads and infrastructure development projects in Legtaifiya residential area (Block 2500). The project included building 4.5km-long permanent roads with one lane in each direction.
The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has reminded motorists to observe lane rules at intersections, warning them that any violation will be captured on camera and registered as a traffic offence.
