Former “comfort women” and hundreds of supporters protested yesterday against South Korea’s agreement with Japan on war-time sex slavery, as Seoul faces an uphill battle to sell it to the public.
South Korea and Japan reached a landmark agreement yesterday to resolve the issue of “comfort women”, as those who were forced to work in Japan’s wartime brothels were euphemistically known, which has long plagued ties between the neighbours.
