Students of DPS-Modern Indian School competed in the ‘Project 5S — Struggle for Sustainable Development and to Save the Environment’ — an inter-school competition initiated by the Institution of Engineers (India), Qatar Chapter — at the Indian Community Fair organised recently by the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC). Some of the activities comprised the competition included selling reusable textbooks, storybooks and utility objects made out of waste by Junior students and environmental awareness campaign initiated by Senior students among others.
DPS-MIS team performed well at the fair, selling around 8,000 books and showcasing presentations and projects by the students of the entire school which was appreciated by the judges as well as guests including the Indian Ambassador Sanjeev Arora.
