Doha: ASTAD Project Management announced a new sponsorship deal to be “Official Partner” of the National Sport Day. The company will be the supporters of the Basketball 3x3 activities to take place at the QOC Sports Zone on the Corniche between February 12 and 16.
ASTAD Project Management was formed as a strategic partnership between Qatar Petroleum and Qatar Foundation in 2009. The joint venture, which is 100% Qatari owned and operated, provides project management services for complex infrastructure and buildings across the region. Its aim is to develop a national, sustainable company capable of providing world-class project-management services to the State of Qatar and the region, with an exclusivity agreement in respect of Qatar Petroleum and Qatar Foundation works.
As official partners, ASTAD will have an active presence at the Sports Zone, hosting a promotional booth alongside the basketball area and promoting the National Sport Day in their communication. Branding of the company will be present around the basketball courts at the venue, ensuring a presence in one of the main locations of the National Sport Day. The QOC Sports Zone will be open for five days, providing a central point for all activities for the remainder of the week after National Sport Day.
HMC
The staff of the Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) will today participate in a variety of events across Doha to mark the National Sport Day.
The events include a Family Fun and Sports Day from 8am-4pm at the Katara Cultural Village, near Gate 21, as part of its Kulluna campaign to improve health and public safety in Qatar.
Other planned fun activities focusing family are including: basketball shoot-out, obstacle course, tug of war, relay races, hula hoop challenges, egg and spoon race, sack relay/race, skipping competition and space hopper races.
There will also be prizes and other give-away during the event.
All activities at Katara are designed to highlight the importance of safety and health, which is the main purpose of the national five year Kulluna campaign.
Meanwhile, at other public events on the Corniche, Aspire Zone and Al Refaa Road, HMC will deploy more than 40 nurses who will be dedicated to taking blood pressure checks, weight measurements, body mass index measurements and other health tests for participants.
On the Corniche, HMC will partner with the Qatar Development Bank and its teams will be offering blood pressure and basic health checks as well as distributing information about healthy and active lifestyles.
