The second round for Qatar National Road Racing Championship (QNRRCH) took place today under the floodlights of Losail International Circuit with a total of 11 drivers registered for this round from different nationalities: Qatar, Australia, Czech Republic, Great Britain, Canada, USA and Philippines.
In the free practice, the fastest driver was the Qatari Abdulaziz Abdulla. Abdulla, driving a Porsche Carrera made a time of 2.24.132. With a very close time sheet, Talal Wehbe made the second best time, 2.24.724.
In the qualifying practice, Abdulla catched the pole position with a time of 2.22.783 and he will start in the first place in the starting grid tomorrow.
In the second place of the grid, there will be Pavel Nedobity from Czech Republic with a Lotus car.
The leader of the championship is the Australian driver Talal Wehbe with his Lotus Exige in the Open category. The qatari drivers Nasser al-Abdula and Saif al-Naimi are second and third respectively in the standings.
The race will be tomorrow at 19:15 with a total of 10 laps in the Losail track.
