The 7th edition of the three-day event at the Doha Exhibitions Center today is being held under the patronage of HE the Minister of Energy and Industry, Dr Mohamed Saleh al-Sada.
On his visit to the Kahramaa pavilion, Dr Al-Sada was briefed by subject experts on the ongoing energy and environment saving initiatives of the corporation.
The visitors, especially students made inquiries about Kahramaa’s initiatives in protecting the environment, water quality, HSE policy, waste and natural resources controlling approaches, air quality, radiation and noise controlling methodologies, environmental laws compliance, ongoing national campaign for the conservation and efficient use of water and energy (Tarsheed) among others. Students also raised questions about Kahramaa’s renewable energy initiatives and models to be adopted.
On the occasion, Kahramaa distributed its pamphlets in Arabic and English languages to the visitors. A number of experts from the concerned departments were available to answer the queries of visitors, in particular college students.
Kahramaa’s participation at the event was aimed as part of its commitments to save nature reflecting its interest in corporate social responsibility programme. The awareness on environment and its related issues were conveyed to the visitors through an integrated constructive interactive communication methods.
The fair showcased the environmental programmes and initiatives of over 35 companies and organisations here in Qatar through their pavilions and stands.
