The annual cultural extravaganza of Birla Public School - Birla Fest 2013 - will be inaugurated at 12pm today.
Stephen Devassy, a renowned musician whose first major break came when he was just 18, will inaugurate the programme at the school’s Basant Kumar Birla auditorium. The event has generated much interest since its inception and has provided a platform for students to display their talents. More than 175 competitions are being organised under the categories of on-stage and off-stage events. These are held at different levels depending on the age of the participants.
Nearly 2,000 students participated in the programme last time and the number is even higher this time.
