Hyatt Plaza Shopping Mall launched its summer festival last Thursday in the presence of a large number of customers including families and children.
Children can enjoy their favourite cartoon characters like Dora the explorer, Shaun the sheep and Angry Birds. Shows, games and activities form part of the 16-day-long festival held daily from 5pm to 8pm. It ends on July 5, a spokesman said.
“We believe this event once again reflects our commitment towards providing more entertainment and surprises for the families in Qatar,” general manager Feroz Moideen said at the opening of the festival.
The festival features 13 popular cartoon characters in addition to stilt walkers and clowns. The activities will be featured throughout the different courts of the mall. The lively parades by mascots around the mall were received with excitement by the children and families alike.
“I love Dora and I took a photograph with her, I am so happy,” said eight-year old Aisha. “Families who are spending the summer holidays in the country can now enjoy this festival in the interior comfort of Hyatt Plaza,” said leasing and marketing manager Fuad Shaqadan.
“We are confident that this summer festival will complement the hassle-free shopping and dining options we offer at Hyatt Plaza,” he added.
