The Qatar Olympic Committee organised Ramadan tournaments which featured week long competitions in futsal, table tennis and billiards.
The tournaments, which featured both women and men, had an overwhelming response.
Two matches were held on the closing day of the QOC Futsal Tournament as the I.T. Department defeated Financial Affairs 2-1 while Secretariat General held Administrative Affairs to a 1-1 draw.
Secretariat General claimed the title after leading the standings of the tournament. Administrative Affairs finished second ahead of Sports Affairs in the third place. The I.T. Department occupied fourth place while Financial Affairs settled in fifth.
The final match of the QOC futsal championship featured high rate of attendees and fans from the QOC staff and public. Following the final match, the organisers conducted a raffle on valuable awards.
The women’s tournament was held at Al-Dana Club on Wednesday.
Dana al-Manai, the tournament supervisor, was delighted by the level of participation in the competitions and stressed that the key objective behind this tournament is to strengthen the relations between the QOC employees and encourage the women involvement in sports activities.
