The Sacramento Kings agreed to a four-year, $62 million contract extension with center DeMarcus Cousins, multiple media outlets reported on Friday. Cousins had one year left on his deal. |
If the Kings and Cousins did not agree on an extension by the Oct. 31 deadline, they still would have been able to make him a restricted free agent, meaning they could match any offer for Cousins at the end of the season.
Cousins averaged 17.1 points, 9.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 0.7 blocks last season.
