Society Photography Contest has clicked with the readers, drawing a massive response since its launch on September 15.
More than 1,284 entries have been received so far, reflecting the incredible talent of photography enthusiasts in the region.
The contest, sponsored by Fujifilm and supported by Qatar Photographic Society, is open to all photographers, amateurs and professionals.
The entry can be one of your favourite photos depicting human fellowship and captured in any part of the world.
The ultimate aim of the contest is to bring together pictures that communicate powerfully about various social interactions, any sort of casual moments that occur in one’s daily routine, or simply a snap that depicts the beauty of being social.
“We’re blown away by the remarkable response and incredible artistic quality of photographs that this contest has generated so far,” said James John, marketing manager of Gulf Times.
“It’s a testament to the energy and enthusiasm of the aspiring photographers in town and we are excited to receive more submissions in the coming days,” he added.
The contest offers about QR80,000 worth Fujifilm cameras, including X-series for the top three winners.
Entries can be submitted until October 15th by using Fujifilm’s official Facebook page: www.facebook.com/FujifilmQatar.
Top entries will be shortlisted on 21st October.
