Emir issues decrees
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday issued the following decrees:
1. Decree No. 47 of 2013 ratifying a Memorandum of Understanding in the health sector between the governments of Qatar and Bulgaria, singed in Sofia on 17.5.2012. The MoU shall have the power of law in accordance with Article 68 of the constitution.
2. Decree No. 48 of 2013 ratifying a Memorandum of Understanding on tourism co-operation between the governments of Qatar and Ecuador, signed in Quito on 16.2.2013. The MoU shall have the power of law in accordance with Article 68 of the constitution.
3. Decree No. 49 of 2013 ratifying a Memorandum of Understanding on co-operation in the public prosecution work between the public prosecution in Qatar and the Justice Ministry in Tunisia, signed in Tunis on 16.7.2012. The MoU shall have the power of law in accordance with Article 68 of the constitution.
4. Decree No. 50 of 2013 ratifying a protocol on cultural co-operation for the restoration, rehabilitation and development of touristic sites and historical monuments in Tunisia between the governments of Qatar and Tunisia, signed in Tunis on 16.7.2012. The protocol shall have the power of law in accordance with Article 68 of the constitution.
5. Decree No. 51 of 2013 ratifying a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of agriculture, animal and fish wealth between the governments of Qatar and Bulgaria, signed in Sofia on 17.5.2012. The MoU shall have the power of law in accordance with Article 68 of the constitution.
6. Decree No. 52 ratifying a co-operation agreement in the cultural field between the governments of Qatar and Thailand, signed in Doha on 4.3.2013.
7. Decree No. 53 of 2013 ratifying an agreement on co-operation and news exchange between Qatar News Agency (QNA) and Saudi Press Agency (SPA), signed in Doha on 15.12.2008.
8. Decree No. 54 of 2013 ratifying a free trade agreement between GCC states and Singapore, singed in Doha on 15.12.2008.
9. Decree No. 55 of 2013 ratifying an agreement of cultural and artistic co-operation between the governments of Qatar and Iran, signed in Tehran on 18.7.2008.
The agreements shall have the power of law in accordance with Article 68 of the constitution.
The decrees shall go into effect from the date of issue and are to be published in the official gazette.
Instruments of ratification
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani issued yesterday the following instruments of ratification:
1. Approving a draft Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Energy and Industry in Qatar and the Ministry of Oil and Gas in Oman in the field of oil and gas, signed in Muscat on 28.5.2013.
2. Approving a draft Memorandum of Understanding in the field of environment between the governments of Qatar and Saudi Arabia, signed in Riyadh on 1.3.2011.
3. Approving a draft Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the field of meteorology between the governments of Qatar and Saudi Arabia, signed in Riyadh on 1.3.2011.
