K 108 Hotel donates QR 250,000 to Rota

The K 108 Hotel has presented a donation of QR250,000 to Reach Out To Asia ( Rota, Qatar’s pioneering non-profit educational organisation.
K 108, which opened in March in the Old Al Ghanim area of Doha, is a concept hotel that gives all of its profits to charity.
The hotel pays homage to the late father of its owner, Yousef Hussein Kamal, the former minister of Economy and Finance, who inherited the land where the hotel is situated.
Maher Marius Abbouchy, chief operating officer of Diafah Investment, the company managing K 108 hotel said, “We are dedicated to supporting the Qatari community and recognising the efforts demonstrated by organisations helping the less privileged. Moreover, developing human capital through education or social care is a central component of K 108 values as we strongly believe that this is an integral part of our commitment towards the community.”
Rota executive director Essa al-Mannai, said, “We are indebted to K 108 Hotel for their generous donation. The entire donation will go directly to delivering projects in underprivileged communities and will make a real difference to so many people. Through our projects in Asia and the Middle East, we can enable people to get back in to schools, improving not just their own lives but the lives of their families.”
