One motorist was killed and six persons were injured in separate road accidents, local Arabic daily Arrayah has reported.
The first accident occurred around 7.30am on October 11 when a Nepalese motorist lost control over the vehicle he was driving while travelling towards Doha from Abu Samra on Salwa Road. The vehicle rammed into a light pole and road barriers and the driver succumbed to severe injuries sustained in the accident, according to the report.
Meanwhile, two citizens, including a nine-year-old girl, were among six persons injured when two cars collided in Al Mamoura. A female citizen and her daughter were heading towards the Al Manaseer signal (from the Aziziya signal) when their vehicle collided with a car driven by a Pakistani, who was accompanied by three persons, two of whom were aged around 20 years, the report said.
The accident caused the second car to overturn and all the occupants suffered wounds ranging from medium to severe. The citizen and her daughter had minor injuries. A police patrol took the injured to a hospital.
