Qatar Development Bank (QDB), through its export arm ‘Tasdeer’, has recently hosted a preparatory meeting for all Qatari companies participating in the Big 5 2013, which is taking place next month.
The Big 5 will take place at Dubai World Trade Centre from November 25 – 28 and this is the second year running that Tasdeer will host the Qatar Pavilion.
The 360sq m national pavilion will showcase the products of all the 33 participating Qatari companies.
The preparatory meeting was attended by representatives from all the participating companies, most of whom took part last year, as well as senior representatives from QDB.
The purpose of the meeting was to brief participating companies on the steps being taken to ensure a strong Qatari presence at the international event.
During the meeting the Qatari representative companies were also briefed on the importance of preparing thoroughly for their participation in order to maximise the opportunity of meeting influential representatives from global importers around the world.
“Throughout our support to the Qatari companies to reach the global markets, we are working on highlighting their capabilities and encouraging them to participate in global events. In this way, we are helping them build strong global partnerships and introduce the industrial basis of the Qatari companies,” according to Abdulaziz bin Nasser al-Khalifa, CEO, QDB.
