Around 500 gifts and appreciation certificates were distributed to low-income workers at their work sites by 250 boys from different schools around the country. The drive was part of the appreciation campaign conducted by the Childhood Culture Centre (CCC), aiming at encouraging the children of Qatar to honour those working in jobs that the society does not often pay attention to, such as cleaners, private security personnel, taxi drivers, traffic policemen, fire fighters and salespersons. The children were trained and educated about the dignity of such professions and those engaged in them as a key to the well being of the society in general. The youngsters visited Doha and Al Khor Corniches, various petrol stations, Aspire Zone, building sites and other locations. They met the workers, thanked them for their services and handed them the gifts and certificates of appreciation. The next phase of the campaign would start soon, with girls giving out gifts and certificates to various workers at other workplaces. Picture shows children posing with workers after handing them the appreciation gifts.
