India celebrated its 65th Republic Day yesterday amid tight security as a series of bombings were reported in the northeastern state of Manipur.
In the national capital, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was the chief guest at a military parade. More than 25,000 police and paramilitary personnel were deployed across the city to prevent terrorist attacks.
