HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani will head today to the Republic of Turkey for a one-day working visit. During the visit, HH the Emir will meet with Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss bilateral ties between the two countries, in addition to the latest developments in the region.
*HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani has received a telephone call from Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir. Discussions during the call dealt with bilateral ties and issues of mutual interest.
Low visibility due to foggy conditions
The visibility across the country would be generally low today on account of foggy conditions, according to the Met office. The visibility will vary between 4 and 8km from place to place. The atmosphere inshore will be partly cloudy in the morning. The offshore areas will see the tides going up to 5ft at times. The minimum temperatures of the day may vary between 11 and 15C with Mesaieed and Wakrah expected to be the cooler than most other places. The maximum temperature expected is 25C degrees. In Doha the minimum and maximum will be between 13 and 24C.
