Algerian PM
meets Qatar’s
Attorney General
Algerian Prime Minister Abdulmalik Sellal met HE Attorney General Dr Ali bin Fetais al-Marri in Algiers yesterday.
HE the Attorney General also conferred with Tayeb Louh, Minister of Justice and the Personal Representative of Algerian president.
They exchanged views on a number of issues of common concern and discussed co-operation between the two countries in the judicial sector.
The meeting was held on the occasion of the invitation extended to HE the Attorney General Dr Ali bin Fetais al-Marri by the First President of the Supreme Court Slimane Boudi, and the Attorney General at the Supreme Court Mohamed Katoch to attend the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Algerian Supreme Court.
The meeting was attended by HE Qatar’s ambassador to Algeria Ibrahim al-Sahlawi, and the delegation accompanying HE the Attorney General.

knife attack in
Chinese city
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed Qatar’s condemnation and denunciation of the knife attack on the passengers in a railway station in south-western Chinese city of Kunming.
The attack which took place on Saturday left scores of people dead and injured.
Director of the Asian Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in an exclusive statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), yesterday expressed Qatar’s solidarity with the people and the government of China.
Ties reviewed
HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr Hamad bin Abdul Aziz al-Kuwari yesterday met in Doha Eric Hoskins, the minister of Economic Development, Trade and Employment, in Ontario, Canada. They discussed bilateral ties and spoke about the cultural events Qatar organises each year with friendly countries such as Japan, Britain and Brazil and their impact on reactivating tourism and the economic and trade exchange with these countries. The Canadian official visited Beit Al Hekma (House of Wisdom) located at the ministry’s tower.
