Food fest names partners, sponsors

Qatar International Food Festival (QIFF) co-organised by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) and Qatar Airways has announced the partners and sponsors of the 5th edition of the annual festival that will take place at the Museum of Islamic Art Park from 20th to 23rd March.

QIFF named Qatar Museum Authority (QMA), Ministry of Culture, Arts, and Heritage, and Qatar Events Diary OnQ the strategic partners. Partners of this year’s festival include  Doha Film Institute (DFI), Al Rayyan TV, QF Radio, Jeem TV, Baraem TV, Qatar Brazil Year of Culture, Philips and Crown Plaza Hotel. Renaissance Hotel will cater the ‘dinner in the sky’ signature activity, and the BBQ Donut will be by Diplomatic Club.

The fifth edition of the festival features 11 general zones, which include 55 food stalls and five kiosks of restaurants and exhibitors accompanied by a wide range of entertainment activities and offerings brought to the festival by its sponsors and partners.

QIFF announced upgraded sponsor activations, which include the stage zone, the snack zone, the international zone and the live cooking zone. In addition, the health and active zone combines healthy food outlets, education and information on nutrition and a well-balanced diet as well as fun activities and live entertainment.

Strategic partners and sponsors are significant to the success of this premier festival, which has attracted visitors from inside and outside Qatar, with a record 72,000 visitors in its previous edition. QTA and QA, alongside their partners and sponsors, strive to provide visitors with the opportunity to sample an extensive selection of cuisines at a world-class festival that delivers a truly unique culinary experience.

Entertainment, raffle prizes, and a genuine festival atmosphere with a DJ music every day and other performers are also expected to be a major attraction at the four day festival. There will also be a children’s play area with bouncy castles, Jungle Zone, face painting and other fun activities. Entry to the event is free. The festival will open its doors in the first day at 5:00pm until 11:00pm, and then from Friday to Sunday it will be open from 2:00pm to 11:00pm.
