qatar Steel (QS) participated in the ‘3rd Annual Career Fair for Universities’ at the Al-Wakra Secondary Independent School to provide Qatari students an insight on possible career prospects in steel industry. |
The job fair was inaugurated by Dr Khaled al-Hor, director of Higher Education at the Supreme Educational Council and Mohamed Ali Mohamed Mandani, licence operator and school principal.
QS, meanwhile, was represented by Yousef Abdullah al-Mansori, the company’s learning and development manager.
During the event, QS officials introduced the company’s internship programmes and invited students to join Qatar Steel after finishing high school. The company also entertained students’ questions during a briefing about potential learning disciplines and career prospects.
Mandani said the career fair attracted many students from Wakra School and other local schools.
“The school organises this fair every year to familiarise the students and their parents with the career potentials and paths they can choose,” Mandani added.
