They claim it is more than just a hotel. Located in the heart of the city, amid the glass-and-steel high rises of West Bay, Governor Suites & Residences Tower promises to set a new standard in hospitality with its world-class facilities and personal touch.
“When you thought that hospitality reached the maximum, Governor came along to change this concept and to show that small things can make a huge difference,” Magdy Shoukry, General Manager (GM) of Governor West Bay Suites and Residences, told a gathering of mediapersons at the Terrace Cafe of the hotel recently.
Fox Advertising, a subsidary of Nasser Bin Khaled Holding in co-operation with Governor West Bay Suites, hosted the media in order to introduce the services of both Fox Advertising and the facilities at the hotel.
In five stars, you expect to have everything in place and order besides having its facilities meet your needs, but “how about having all these services with a special touch,” quipped the GM.
To satisfy every taste, the dining outlets at the hotel bring a combination of best dishes from the international cuisine and a wide variety of choices to select from. Fusion Restaurant, the all-day dining with an outdoor extension The Terrace, serves authentic oriental dishes. “You can have casual dining at the recently launched Governor Cafe and for your cup of coffee we present the Duchess of Governor Lounge,” says the hotel’s statement.
The in-suite customers can avail the culinary variety they may desire combined in a tailor-made menu or a special meal requested to be prepared by ‘your personal chef’. Not to forget the highly recommended Fresh Bakeries which are all freshly prepared and baked at the hotel.
“Governor offers you the comfort and the feeling that you are in good hands whenever you need something. Let me tell you about this hotel. Its exterior is original with an English twist lobby design. It has the most spacious, fully equipped two or three-bedroom suites in Doha that can accommodate a business traveller or a family on vacation,” added Shoukry.
For conferences and social events, the hotel offers 1,500 sq m flexible function space and outdoor catering service to serve every guest’s need to his doorstep, he added. “This is not all. Governor did not miss your leisure and recreation facilities, providing you with the outstanding Governor Spa having a list of special treatments and massages, sauna, a superb gym and indoor swimming pool.”
A new additon to food and beverage outlets at the hotel, Governor Cafe provides several tasty and easy food options for a quick lunch or an after-work bite. “We are happy with Governor Cafe’s opening and we look forward to delivering fresh and tasty products to our guests,” said Zeinab Hammoud, the Director of Sales and Marketing for Governor West Bay Suites and Residences. The cafe is located at the ground floor of the hotel and is open from 7am till after midnight.
Addressing the media at The Terrace with soft music playing in the background, Mohamad Khair Oughly, the General Manager of Fox Advertising said that having established in Syria in 1978, the company has been in the market for too long.
“Our experience has helped us flourish in Qatar with regards to different kinds of production, such as filming documentaries and TV commercials and we have held several marketing campaigns,” said Oughly.
To this day, the company has produced more than 3,000 TV commercials, over 100 documentaries, more than 2,000 advertisements besides producing a well-known Syrian television series called Alwahimoon-The Illusionist, he added. It has also organised several marketing campaigns. “We would like to spread our services in Qatar and outside. We have been in Doha for almost a year and we have been doing very well,” said Oughly.
He thanked the hotel for its hospitality that served the guests with delicious cold canapé, cold beverages and exquisite desserts. The attendees were also brought together into a raffle contest.
