Ooredoo announces winners of Treasure Hunt competition

Ooredoo has announced the winners of the Ooredoo Treasure Hunt competition as part of the ongoing #Koora campaign to celebrate the 2014 Emir Cup.

The Ooredoo Treasure Hunt offered 10 people the chance to win a 55inch LED TV by finding one of the 10 footballs hidden throughout Qatar.

All 10 balls were found in locations such as Katara, MIA and the Corniche, and clues to the footballs’ locations were revealed via social media over a period of four days.

The competition got a massive response on social media with over 8,000 likes, comments and shares and a large number of people searching for the balls.

Fatima Sultan al-Kuwari, director of Community and Public Relations at Ooredoo, said: “We aim to continue this success with all our sporting campaigns throughout the summer, and hope to bring #Koora alive with our services and competitions.”

The company has planned a host of activities to run until May 17, when Al Sailiya will
play Al Sadd in the final of the Emir Cup, and aims to build excitement for the tournament finale by revealing the winners of the wide range of competitions and events.

As the main telecommunications partner for HH The Emir Cup, Ooredoo is encouraging as many people as possible to attend the final at the Khalifa Stadium.

Ongoing competitions include the Emir Cup Goal booth and Instagram #EmirCup2014 challenge, with both competition winners set to be revealed on the day of the final.

To win an exclusive easy-to-remember number, customers can visit the Ooredoo sound-proof booths in Landmark mall and Souq Waqif until May 15, and scream “Goal”. The longest and loudest scream will win, and be used as part of Ooredoo’s ongoing #Koora campaign.

Customers can also take part in the Instagram #EmirCup2014 challenge by posting a slogan or lyric about their favourite Qatar club with the #EmirCup2014 to enter. The most liked posts will be printed on an official customised iPad and 10 Ooredoo t-shirts for the winner.

Customers can look out for more events and giveaways by following Ooredoo’s social media pages and following the #Koora hashtag on Twitter.
