Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), in co-operation with Visa, will bring 30 customers to the FIFA World Cup in Brazil as part of the “Living the FIFA World Cup Moment” promotion. |
QIB has partnered with Visa to stage a variety of promotions for existing and potential customers that availed of the bank’s main products like financing, buy-out liabilities, credit cards, and mobile banking
application.
The selected winners were allowed to bring a friend to the much-anticipated sporting event.
Over three months, the bank offered clients the chance to win one of 30 packages with each package consisting of two match tickets, three-night double occupancy hotel accommodation, transportation for two from the hotel to the match venue, and one return airline ticket to Brazil, and to the
hosting city.
The 60 match tickets were distributed across stages such as the opening match, group matches, round 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and third place match. Two lucky winners will win the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the FIFA World Cup finals.
The winners are Tareq Khalaf al-Mohamed, Youcef Boukada, Yousef al-Ansari, Gamal Metawee, Hussein Khawar, Ghanim al-Buainain, Ganesan Muthu, Yousef al-Kuwari, Mohamed al-Refai, Mohamad al-Motawa, Mohamed Hamad, Khalid al-Boinin, Sara al-Omari, Abdulla al-Qahtani, Noof al-Naemi, Mohamed al-Kuwari, Abdulaziz al-Yafai, Khalil Abu Watfa, Shahin al-Mohanadi, Khan Hamid, Mohamed al-Joudia, Hussam Qnona, Zirul Aziz, Mohamed al-Shahwani, Abdulmohsin Indela, Mohamed al-Mohanadi, Ramzi Bahrouni, Saoud al-Baker, Jamil al-Shamari, and Ali al-Muslah.
The first winner, Tareq al-Mohamed, travelled to Brazil for the opening ceremony and the opening match between
Brazil vs Croatia.
The 20th FIFA World Cup runs from June 12 to July 13, 2014 where a total of 64 matches will be held in 12 cities across Brazil.
