Steby Sony Cyriac, a seven-month-old Indian infant, died at Hamad Hospital on Saturday night. The baby had been on ventilator for some time.
He will be buried today at Dukhan.
Steby (pictured) was the son of Sony Cherian Murickolipuzha, a staffer at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and Bindu, a nurse at Hamad Hospital. He had three brothers - Steve, Steen and Stibo. The family comes from Ranny in Pathanamthitta district in Kerala.
A special prayer was held at the Hamad hospital mortuary yesterday in memory of Steby.
Members of the Knanaya Syrian Orthodox Church and Knanaya Youth Association mourned the death.
