Al Ahli will face Al Khor at the Grand Hamad stadium today. Khor has conceded six goals and only scored one in the first two rounds of the Qatar Stars League.
Khor coach Laszlo Boloni felt that they were able to use the international break to correct the mistakes. “Like all teams we used the break to analyse the games and try to make some corrections in training.
Al Khor striker Julio Cesar spoke about how the team must keep their focus and discipline and that although their opponents have become a strong team, his side wanted the win more.
“We keep our way of playing and stick to our tasks properly, we will do our maximum to win and we are very hungry to get our first win.”
Ahli coach Milan Macala said that though his team had scored seven goals in their two wins from two matches, a loss against Al Sailiya in a friendly, had given them a reality check.
“As you know during this break the national teams were in action and so we played a friendly, however we lost against Al Sailiya but I think this is a good thing that has woken us up and made us realize that we still have a long way to go.”
Asked about Mojtaba Jabari who won August’s QSL player of the month award Macala was happy for this recognition.
“We had a scare with Jabari who was suffering with a muscle strain but he now looks likely to start in the match against Al Khor. With regards to the award I am very happy for Mojtaba and I hope more of my players receive this honor. It is a good motivational tool.”

Saying goodbye is never easy, especially when you are saying farewell to those that have left a positive impression. That was the case earlier this month when Canada hosted Mexico in a friendly at BC Place stadium in Vancouver.
