Ezdan Holding Group has launched a media campaign under the slogan “Ezdan... Derwaztak to investment” in order to highlight its investments in various key sectors in Qatar.
The campaign started on October 20 and will last for a month and a half. It covers print media, radio and social networks, in addition to bus advertising, main streets and malls in the country.
Ezdan Holding Group mainly invests in real estate, shopping malls and hotels, noting that its investment has recently grown to include multiple sectors, including industry, food security, financial services, banking and Takaful insurance, in addition to media and publishing,
according to a statement.
Commenting on the campaign, Ezdan Holding Group CEO Ali bin Mohamed al-Obaidli said: “This is the first campaign of its kind in terms of size after becoming a holding group and expansion in its activities in the Qatari market to include different sectors. Such a campaign, which is the embodiment of the effective role played by the group in the Qatari society, aims initially to define the active contribution of Ezdan in the renaissance taking place in the Qatari economy through a variety of initiatives in several sectors.
“There is no doubt that Ezdan Holding Group holds an important position in the Qatari economy, achieving quantum leaps in the country’s development and the prosperity of all residents of Qatar - citizens and expatriates. Ezdan has come a long way to keep up with this growth and contribute to supporting the local economy through projects and activities as well as a variety of services in line with Qatar National
Vision 2030.”
The word “Derwaza” is derived from the Qatari heritage, the statement explains. It was used to refer to the ancient gate of big houses, markets and the walls of cities. “Derwaza” derives from two words to denote “open door”. The word was frequently used in the Qatari
society for decades.
On his part, deputy CEO of Ezdan Holding Group Nasser Abdulla said the “Derwaza” campaign is inspired by the spirit of the authentic Qatari heritage. “Our heritage and values are the cornerstones of our success. We have chosen the word ‘Derwaza’ for our media campaign in the Qatari community to remind current generations of our precious heritage and our old vocabulary terms that we will never forget as they carry all meanings of pride and originality.”
Abdulla noted that Ezdan Holding Group works according to a clear strategy in line with its vision and mission, which stress on diversification of investments in order to achieve stability of the group, dispersing risk as well as achieving maximum profitability - thereby participating in the state’s development.
Abdulla further explained that the group’s investment volume reflects its real size, which includes different sectors. Most of these are service sectors, ranging from banking to financial services, as well as real estate investments, which also aim to provide housing units to a large segment of
society.
The group also invests in food security, industry and the media.
