Ambassador tours German pavilion

Storz-Chakarji with members of the German Interior Ministry and participants at the German pavilion.

German ambassador Angelika Storz-Chakarji toured the German pavilion at Milipol Qatar 2014 exhibition on Tuesday.

The envoy, along with an official delegation from the German Federal Ministry of the Interior, visited stalls at the pavilion and expressed happiness at the German participation.

A total of 14 German companies participated in the German-Austrian pavilion at this year´s expo. Under the banner “German Security Technology”, the companies presented their latest products and technologies in different security-related areas such as protective clothing, surveillance software, scanning technology and sighting telescopes.

A number of German companies have been regularly participating in Milipol Qatar. The exhibition served as an excellent platform to showcase their products to the clients from the region as well as to the international customers.

This year´s Milipol attracted some newcomers as well from Germany. Each of them hoped to establish contacts in the local market before Qatar hosts the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Some of them believed that Qatar National Vision 2030 offered plenty of opportunities for international companies in the safety and security business.

Storz-Chakarji said she was impressed by the quality and high standards as well as the diversity of products displayed from Germany. “German products are well known for their outstanding quality and reliability and this is not only true for the automotive sector but goes way beyond,” she said. “I am confident that German companies could contribute substantially to the growing needs in the safety and security business. Safety should be everyone´s concern.”
