The World Innovation Summit for Education (Wise), a leading international initiative driving innovation and collaboration in education, is hosting the 2014 Learning Festival in collaboration with Katara. |
The Learning Festival is taking place until November 8 at the Katara Esplanade and is open to the public from Tuesday through Saturday (5pm to 10pm). Focused on “creative takes on the use of technology in education”, the festival features a series of demonstrations, workshops, performances and screenings by the Maker Movement.
Among the highlights of the 2014 Learning Festival is a photography exhibition by highly acclaimed Iranian photographer Newsha Tavakolian, whose striking images feature in the 2014 Wise Book. Newsha’s work showcases 11 best practices in the use of technology to improve learning.
