Workshop on presentation skills for future leaders

A workshop on presentation skills for future leaders started at the Leadership Development Centre headquarters in Sailiya yesterday.

A number of officers from among the future leaders are participating in the workshop, which has been organised in association with College of Policing (UK). It will continue until October 30.

Brig Badr Ibrahim al-Ghanim, director of the Technical Office of the Minister of Interior, said the workshop is aimed at developing the skills of future leaders in terms of presentation skills and build their ability to deliver information to convince others. It is intended to suitably prepare them to allocate supervisory tasks in the future along with making the national cadres eligible for leading security tasks for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Further, he stressed that the officers participating in the workshop were scrutinised in order to carry out their roles according to scientific basics and provide them with the skills, techniques and methods needed to cope with the development of the Ministry of
Interior.

The official said the workshop would contribute significantly to the development of future leaders’ capabilities so that they are be able to deliver their ideas in modern ways that would help in decision-making and implementation of the ministry’s strategic projects effectively as a team.

The workshop will cover topics related to influential individual performances and work out methods of preparation and planning for such outstanding performances.
