Premium boutiques woo shoppers at new airport

Qatar Duty Free (QDF) has added four new premium shopping boutiques to its portfolio of retail destinations at Hamad International Airport (HIA).

Passengers looking for luxury brands as they travel through Doha will now be able to shop at Coach, Montblanc, Almotahajiba and Hugo Boss, as well as more than 70 other retail outlets that are already available within 25,000sq m of retail space at the airport.

“We are delighted to officially announce the opening of Coach, Montblanc, Almotahajiba and Hugo Boss at Hamad International Airport,” said QDF senior vice-president Keith Hunter.

“At QDF, we are 100% committed to bringing the very best brands to the airport and providing our passengers with a world-class experience when they shop in our boutiques.

“Our aim is to make HIA the number one shopping destination for both international and regional travellers and we will continue to open further stores in the coming months to strengthen our position as a leading player in this competitive global arena.”

Coach is a leading New York design house of modern luxury accessories and lifestyle collections for both men and women, and has proven highly popular with passengers since it opened next to the multi-brand boutique, Junction, according to a statement.

Since opening, Montblanc has quickly become one of the busiest stores in
the retail area, the statement adds. The luxury brand’s
iconic writing instruments, watches, fragrances and eyewear are some of the most sought-after products by passengers looking for premium accessories and gifts.

Appealing to female Arabic passengers, Almotahajiba is an upscale luxury brand producing stylish abayas, jalabiyas and sheilas. With more than 36 branches across the region, the brand has become one of the most prominent names in Arabic women’s fashion and is a significant addition to the shopping mix at HIA.

The most recently opened boutique at the airport is Hugo Boss, where passengers will find a versatile range of men’s fashion, eyewear, watches and fragrances.

These four new stores complement the existing retail outlets at HIA, ensuring that QDF caters to all passengers’ tastes, the statement points out.
