Amir El-Bayoumi lifted the Men’s trophy defeating Eleftherios Christou in straight sets 6-3, 6-1 at the 25th QAFCO Open Tennis championship. The final was a relatively easy outing for El-Bayoumy compared to the semi-final against Anass Lamrani when El- Bayoumy toiled to win 6-2, 7-5.
In other matches, Issa al-Harrassi beat Siddharth Ramesh 6-2, 6-0 to be crowned the boy’s under 18 champion. Meanwhile, Cesarito Dumadaug Diong won comprehensively against Robert El Hayek 6-3, 6-0. The Men’s Singles Qualifying was topped by Ace Lawrence Oboza Isidro who beat Simon Kusmartono 6-3, 6-3.
The pair of George G Raymundo & Jasper Sarraga Gappi beat Simon Kusmartono & Zulmuchlis Wahidin 6-3, 6-4 to be the Men’s doubles qualifying champions.
