ExxonMobil Qatar has planned a robust agenda for its Tamayoz programme in 2015, which provides professional and personal development opportunities to the employees of valued partner Qatar Petroleum, and joint ventures RasGas and Qatargas.
Led by ExxonMobil subject-matter experts, the training programmes are offered free of charge for participants, and focus on areas which are pertinent to their work. This year’s courses will cover essential and diverse areas, including safety, health and environment, leadership, operations excellence, and commercial, technical, and project management.
“The 2015 agenda boasts a variety of courses, on a wider range of topics,” said Anthony Pryde, joint interest technical manager for ExxonMobil Qatar. “The objective of Tamayoz is to contribute to building the capabilities of Qatar’s people and continue the development of the industry in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.”
Mohamed Hasan Eshkenani, a geologist at Qatar Petroleum, who attended the Fundamentals Geoscience Subsurface Interpretation course, said he experienced the quality content, extensive industry knowledge of the trainers, and most importantly the relevance of the courses.
With 33 training opportunities offered in 2014 alone, the Tamayoz programme covered training courses in all relevant areas for 670 industry professionals throughout the year.
“Month after month, industry professionals from our joint ventures have come to expect the quality training programmes we have provided since the launch of Tamayoz in 2013,” said Alistair Routledge, president and general manager, ExxonMobil Qatar.
“Tamayoz was established with the aim of enhancing sustainability for Qatar’s future, and was born from ExxonMobil’s commitment to share information and disseminate knowledge gained through its own industry expertise.
“We will continue to put forth content that we believe will enhance and support the existing knowledge and skills of all those professionals functioning in our industry, and in turn support the Qatar National Vision 2030 by driving human potential,” he added.
ExxonMobil continues to contribute to the Qatar National Vision 2030 through the energy of its people, its advanced technology and its expertise in operational excellence.
All Tamayoz training programme is an extension of ExxonMobil’s commitment to share information and disseminate knowledge gained through its own industry expertise with partners and individuals in Qatar’s energy sector.
More than 50 courses have been offered to ExxonMobil partners and joint ventures with nearly 1,600 individuals receiving training since the launch of the programme.
