A high-level delegation from Scottish football Association (SFA) visited Aspetar, Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital, yesterday.
The delegation comprised of president Campbell Ogilvie, vice president Rod Petrie and SFA CEO Stewart Regan. The visit concluded with a comprehensive tour of the Aspetar premises.
During this visit, Aspetar officials provided comprehensive briefings on the overall progress with regard to discussions focused on avenues of potential co-operation between Aspetar and the Scottish football Association as well as progress towards the participation of Scotland National Team U-15 in the tournament that is taking place at Aspire.
“I’m truly impressed with what we have seen. It is also very encouraging that such an organisation has state-of-the-art facilities in place. We are pleased with the reception that Aspetar has provided,” Ogilvie said.
As part of Aspire zone, Aspetar gets hundreds of visits every year from international players and teams, for medical purpose and to see the world-class facilities of the leading’s sports medicine hospital in the world.
The delegation also visited the indoor pitch of Aspire Dome and took an idea about the state-of-the-art premises of Aspire Academy.
