Claudiu Keserü is a Romanian professional footballer who has signed up to play as a striker with QSL’s Al Gharafa.
Keseru has been the former captain of the Romanian national under-21 team. In 2003 he was bought by Nantes where he played for four years. His latest stint was with the Romanian club Steaua Bucarest with who he has signed in January 2014. He won the league title with the club.
He has a couple of unique records to his name. Keserü broke the club record for goals in a single game when he scored all six goals in Bucarest’s 6-0 win over Pandurii on 15 August 2014.
Keseru also holds the record for the fastest hat-trick in UEFA Europa League history when he scored a treble in just 12 minutes during Bucarest’s 6-0 win over Aalborg BK in 2014–15 UEFA Europa League group stages.
Gharafa are suffering through a run of five defeats and they will be looking at Keseru to score goals for them and help them rise up in the rankings and help them realise a top-4 finish.
