Barwa Bank has supported the “Euromoney Islamic Finance and Investment Conference” as the lead sponsor of the event held in London.
The two-day conference discussed topics such as the challenge of globalising Islamic capital flows, Islamic financial institution strategy in the UK and Europe, and financing European infrastructure with Shariah-compliant capital, among others.
Barwa Bank’s participation comes as part of its efforts to support the comprehensive economic development and the international initiatives that touch on various aspects of Shariah-compliant banking.

Barwa Bank head of Capital Financing Arsalaan Ahmed addressed a panel discussion on “Sovereign Sukuk Market: Lessons Learned and New Issuers,” while Soufiane Ouenniche, acting head of Real Estate at The First Investor, Barwa Bank’s investment subsidiary, participated in “Real Estate Investment Opportunities” panel.
Al-Subeai said, “Barwa Bank always strives to participate in events and activities aimed at the benefit of Islamic finance, especially as this sector is recording remarkable growth in the regional and global economy.”
