Ahli win big against Wakrah; Arabi down Khor

Tyronne McNeal and Temi Soyebo led Al Ahli to a massive 90-52 win over Al Wakrah in the Qatar Basketball League at the Al Gharafa Sports Club yesterday.
McNeal amassed 26 points while Soyebo had 21 points to his credit as Ahli ensured that Wakrah never even sniffed the lead in the entire match.
McNeal 12 two-pointers and two free throughs besides 12 rebounds to his name, while Soyebo had eight two-pointers and dunked a three-pointer apart from 13 rebounds.
Others to get into double digits for Ahli were Consteveous Jefferson and Jocef Fajilagot with 15 and 12 points respectively.
In reply, Al Wakrah only had two players in double digits with Donald Singleton scoring 17 points and Mohamed Abdulrahman 14 points.
Singleton had seven two-pointers and three free-throws to his name.
In the other match of the day, Al Arabi beat Al Khor 68-60.
Oumar Seck was the top-scorer for Al Arabi with 22 points and was ably supported by Tanguy Ngombo and Hassino Ndoye who scored 17 and 15 points respectively.
For Khor, Shavon Coleman was the top-scorer with 20 points, while Mame Ndour added 17 points and Kevin Bridgewaters pitched in with 14.
Today, El Jaish will take on Al Rayyan in the first match of the day at 5pm, followed by Al Sadd’s clash with Al Gharafa at 7pm. Matches are being held at Al Gharafa Sports Club.
