Qalco clinched the Division 1 title at the 10th IBQ Masters Cricket tournament. In the final, they beat Asian Cricket Club by four wickets. This is Qalco’s fourth consecutive victory.
After winning the toss, Qalco choose to field, which proved to be the right strategy. ACC lost wickets at regular intervals and at the end of 10 overs were the score was just measly 16 for the loss of 5 wickets. They were bowled out for 85 in 18.2 overs. The only batsman to make meaningful contribution was Feroze, who scored 28 runs, which included 2 sixes and a boundary. None of the other batsmen could reach double figures.
For Qalco, Jonty claimed 3 wickets, Hilmy 2, while Shahid, Aftab, Zahir, Tharaka, Intikab and Rifas took a wicket each. Ifzal from Qalco behind the stumps was outstanding, claiming 4 catches and 1 stumping, which rightly earned him the man of the match award.
