UDC awarded for its gold sponsorship of HH The Emir’s Sword Show Jumping

Minister of Youth and Sports HE Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser al-Ali honours UDC for the the gold sponsorship of HH The Emir Show Jumping Championship Sword 2015.

Following the conclusion of the second category of horse jumping races, part of HH The Emir Show Jumping Championship Sword, held March 11 and 12 at Qatar Equestrian Federation’s (QEF) main arena, United Development Company (UDC), received an award by Qatar Minister of Youth & Sports HE Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser al-Ali.
A leading Qatari shareholding company, UDC was extended a gold sponsorship to this event for the third consecutive year in recognition of its corporate social responsibility initiatives and commitment to serving the development of sports and culture in Qatar for the good of the Qatari community.
In the context of honouring the winning riders and rewarding their season-long efforts and achievements, Qatar’s HE Minister of Youth & Sports, also delivered awards to the corporate sponsors of this richest Arabian race, whose unwavering support makes up the backbone of this successful and much-awaited event.
UDC board member Rashid Hamad al-Madadi received the award on behalf of the company in the presence of Qatar Equestrian Federation president Hamad bin Abdulrahman al-Attiyah, and other QEF and UDC officials as well as members of the diplomatic corps and media representatives.
Commenting on the exciting finale and the recognition of UDC, al-Madadi said, “We were honoured to watch young Qatari horse riders exhibit this much strength, resilience and chivalry at this tournament’s finale. This stands testament that this traditional sports continues to draw cheering crowds and inspire younger generations to continue the legacy of horse training and riding. We at UDC care so much about sustainability in all aspects of our business, which is why we continue to invest in supporting the major sporting events in the country, particularly equestrian sports, based on a firm belief that this serves to preserve our Arabic roots and Qatari identity in conformity with the country’s National Vision 2030.”
It is worth mentioning that Khalid Mohammed al-Emadi emerged victorious and retained HH The Emir’s Sword Show Jumping Championship, riding Tamira IV victory in the jump off and clocked the best timing of 44.82 seconds.
