The College of Business and Economics (CBE) at Qatar University (QU) has signed an agreement with Vodafone Qatar to establish co-operation in executive training and education and scientific research fields.
The agreement was signed by QU president Prof Sheikha Abdulla al-Misnad and Vodafone Qatar CEO Kyle Whitehill in the presence of CBE dean Dr Nitham Hindi as well as QU faculty and officials from both institutions.
The terms of the agreement include collaboration in education and research areas as well as mutual scientist and researcher exchanges for various instructional and training initiatives in business, finance and information technology. Both institutions will also organise joint conferences, seminars and workshops.
Commenting on the agreement, Prof al-Misnad said: “The agreement will serve as a platform to exchange knowledge and best practices that will be of invaluable benefit to our students. It also shows QU’s commitment to shape the future generation of experts and professionals by offering them high-quality academic programmes and by equipping them with the skills, competencies and mindset needed for a successful career.”
Whitehill said, “It is a great honour to sign an agreement with Qatar University. This is in line with our aim to exchange best practices and experiences with the leading institutions in Qatar.”
