Al Meera opens Muaither, Azizia branches

Al Meera Consumer Goods Company has opened new branches at Muaither and Al Azizia as part of the company’s expansion strategy to serve all areas in Qatar.
The shopping centres were built according to international standards to provide a convenient shopping experience, according to Al Meera Deputy CEO Dr Mohamed Nasser al-Qahtani.
“In line with Qatar National Vision 2030 to develop various areas around Qatar, Al Meera continues to apply its motto in being ‘Your Favourite Neighbourhood Retailer’ and answering the residents’ needs in the areas that are witnessing fast expansion by providing them with a unique and convenient shopping experience in each of our branches,” al-Qahtani said.
The 1,685sq m Al Azizia branch boasts of a 455sq m of supermarket area, offering shoppers a wide variety of food and non-food items as well as fresh products.
“As part of its expansion strategy, Al Meera is dedicated to providing its customers with the best products at competitive prices. This branch includes a butcher shop and is scheduled to have five retail outlets open soon,” al-Qahtani said.
Similarly, the 2,602sq m Muaither branch, which is located on Umm Al Dhoom Street, includes 498sq m of supermarket space, offering the same price and quality as all the other Al Meera shopping centres.
It has self-service sections, where customers can shop for meat, fish, and some snacks directly to make shopping easier and faster. The centre will have 10 outlets, which will be inaugurated soon.
The new branches will offer fruits and vegetables, with local and imported varieties, as well as an increased and imported assortment of groceries. Al Meera Fruit and Vegetables are specially selected and sourced from both local and international producers.
Al-Qahtani said: “Being imported, items are flown in by air on a daily basis to ensure optimum freshness and quality.
“The transportation of the produce is kept to the highest possible standards and refrigerated at every stage of the journey. All products are carefully sorted further upon arrival at the store to guarantee the utmost quality.”
The world-class shelves installed by Al Meera reflect the company’s keenness to offer the best product display to its customers; good-looking and well-spaced shelves allow customers to shop their items efficiently.
“The goal of Al Meera’s expansion, benefiting shareholders and consumers, is to provide outlets to all consumers wherever they are in Qatar. In parallel, Al Meera continues to rehabilitate its old branches and maintain them to integrate them with the new innovative concept.
