An Australian business delegation headed by Australian minister of trade and investment is set to visit Qatar next month to explore investment opportunities in the country. The announcement was made by Ronda Beaujot, a senior trade official at the Australian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during her visit to Qatar Chamber (QC). Beaujot and the accompanying Australian delegation were received by QC board member Ahmed al-Obaidly, who affirmed that Qatar enjoyed a foreign-investment-friendly environment and welcomed active partnership among local investors and their counterparts from around the world. QC aims to establish long-term partnerships with Australian investors in various key fields such as food security, agriculture, livestock, mining and hotels and tourism, he said. The meeting was attended by Remi Rowhani, QC director-general, and the Australian Ambassador to Qatar, Pablo Kang.
